FACC crew donates over € 14,000 to charity

As part of the Christmas party tombola, the FACC Future Team raised € 14,610, which will now be donated to families in need in the region and charitable organizations.

Last Saturday, FACC AG invited its employees to the annual Christmas party: More than 1,500 crew members celebrated a wonderful party at the Ried Exhibition Center, where they looked back together on the highlights of the past year. In addition to a live show and the presentation of the LEONARDO award, which honors outstanding team achievements and innovations in the past year, the focus was also on the annual project of the FACC apprentices - the Future Team: During the past months, the Future Team had already sold tombola tickets to employees, who had the opportunity to participate in the raffle of a stand-up bar designed and manufactured by the apprentices themselves. The bar, which is a lightweight construction and equipped with Bluetooth speakers, a refrigerator, LED lighting, a parasol, an ice cube machine and a continuous flow cooler, was subsequently given away during the Christmas party. A total of € 7,305 was raised at the FACC tombola - the amount donated was doubled by the Management Board of FACC AG to a total of € 14,610.

“The apprentice project and the associated tombola are unique every year and above all underline the social commitment of our apprentices and our employees. The record sum of over € 14,000 that we were able to donate this year shows that we are living up to our social responsibility, especially in challenging times,” said CEO Robert Machtlinger, emphasizing the special character of the apprentice raffle.

From pool tables to dart machines: The apprentice projects of the past years

The FACC Future Team spent several hundred working hours on the bar built this year. Apprentices from all training areas (including design, fiber composite technology, metal technology / machining technology, process technology and information technology systems engineering) contributed their respective expertise. The projects from previous years also caused quite a stir, including an arcade game machine, a pool table, a dart machine and a self-designed drone.

35 years of innovation

The FACC Christmas party is one of the annual highlights for the crew members. This year, 35 years of innovation for the aviation industry were also celebrated: From a small start-up of the Fischer Ski & Tennis research department, the international aviation company FACC developed, with today more than 3,700 employees from over 50 nations and 15 international locations. CEO Robert Machtlinger took the Christmas party as an opportunity to thank the entire workforce for their outstanding work and commitment over the past year and to look positively into the future: “Together with this crew, we will further expand our position as one of the leading international aviation companies.”
