FACC finances next phase of growth

  • New EUR 190 million syndicated loan led by UniCredit Bank Austria with seven banks from Austria and Germany
  • Long-term financing security and additional flexibility

Rising production rates and new aircraft programs require additional capacity. FACC is therefore investing around EUR 350 million in technology, infrastructure and international growth by 2030. To support these plans, the company has realigned its financing structure: Led by UniCredit Bank Austria, seven banks from Austria and Germany are supporting FACC’s next phase of growth and refinancing the existing syndicated loan. The new EUR 190 million financing facility supports the implementation of FACC’s growth strategy, secures long-term financing capacity and provides additional flexibility for future investments and strategic growth opportunities.

“We aligned our financing structure with FACC’s future growth at an early stage, thereby creating a solid foundation for the investments ahead. Our positive operational development is now also reflected in improved financing conditions. Our strengthened financial profile gives us additional flexibility to optimize our financing structure and secure sufficient liquidity to support our strong growth,” says Florian Heindl, CFO of FACC AG.

Growth needs investment

More than 42,000 new passenger aircraft will be required worldwide by 2045. As a partner to all major aircraft and engine manufacturers, FACC is therefore expanding its capacities to support rising production rates in existing programs as well as new customer projects. Investments are focused on automation, new technologies and additional production capacity.

Long-term investment. Long-term financing.

The new EUR 190 million syndicated loan has an initial term of three years and can be extended twice by one year each. It replaces the existing EUR 225 million syndicated loan ahead of its maturity in February 2027.

Broader base. Strong financing partners.

The new consortium comprises seven banks: five from Austria and two from Germany. The previous consortium consisted of five Austrian financial institutions. UniCredit Bank Austria is acting as lead bank.

The refinancing underlines the financing partners’ confidence in FACC’s positive development and the growth prospects of the aviation industry.
