FACC Wings for Women: FACC establishes women's network

Last week, the kickoff event for the women's network "FACC Wings for Women" was held. This is an important step for equal opportunities and diversity.

A balanced gender ratio among employees and managers is one of the key success factors in companies. FACC AG has therefore set itself the goal of strengthening the perspectives of women in the company and creating an environment that opens up the same opportunities and possibilities for all. This includes, for example, existing offers such as all-day childcare as well as highly flexible working time models. Last week, the founding of the women's network FACC Wings for Women was another important step in this direction: On the initiative of employees, this network will in the future make the perspectives of women in the company more visible and collaborate on measures that will further promote the expansion of diversity at all management levels. More than 100 participants showed the great interest in this topic within the company. President of FACC Wings for Women is Sabine Lenzbauer (Vice President Procurement): "The same opportunities and possibilities are open to all of us - with FACC Wings for Women, we want to motivate women to increasingly take on leadership positions," emphasizes Sabine Lenzbauer. "We also see the women network as a joint discussion platform where women at different stages of their careers can advise and support each other." CEO Robert Machtlinger and COO Andreas Ockel serve as wingmen for the network, which emphasizes the Board's support for this project. Guest of honor Beate Zechmeister (Head of the Upper Austrian Women's Department) also emphasized the importance of this topic for the future during the kickoff event.

Networking as a career boost

At the kick-off event, particular emphasis was placed on the importance of successful networking. To this end, Brigitte Maria Gruber (head of the Frauen:Fachakademie Schloss Mondsee) gave a keynote speech that provided valuable insights into which factors are essential for sustainable success. In a panel discussion with Yvonne Obermayr (President Business & Professional Women Wels-Hausruck), Katharina Miller (Founder & Managing Director of the job sharing platform JobTwins), Kathrin Gerauer & Katharina Brunneder (FACC Information Security Professionals & JobTwins) and Alexander Hochmeier (FACC VP IT), the participants then discussed what further impulses FACC can provide to establish more equal opportunities. This includes, in particular, the further expansion of job sharing, which has already been successfully introduced. In this model, two people share the tasks and responsibilities of a full-time position. This opens up access to interesting (management) positions for part-time workers and also enables working mothers and fathers in particular to continue their careers without gaps.
