FACC wins Austrian Export Award 2024

FACC AG was honoured with the Export Award in Silver at the Exporters' Nite 2024 of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce. The award reflects FACC's successful performance in recent years.

Locations in 15 countries, over 3,500 employees from more than 50 nations and an export share of 100% - FACC is one of the global players in the international aviation industry for 35 years now. At the Export Award Gala of the Austrian Economic Chamber, which took place for the 30th time on 17 June 2024 in the Vienna Hofburg, FACC was awarded the Export Prize in Silver in the Trade and Crafts category. The award focuses on the international successes of Austrian companies. The ceremony with more than 700 guests was also attended by the Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, Minister of Labour and Economic Affairs Martin Kocher and WKÖ President Harald Mahrer. The decisive factors for awarding the prize to FACC were the company's successful growth and the current strong expansion of its global footprint.

"FACC has recorded a strong growth in all international markets in recent years. A revenue growth of +21.3% in the past financial year and an increase in the workforce by more than 500 new employees demonstrate this success. This development is set to continue in the coming years. We are very happy that we have now been honoured with the Export Award 2024," emphasises FACC CEO Robert Machtlinger.

Strategy 2030: Expansion of the global footprint

FACC's most important export markets include Germany, France, Canada, the United Kingdom, the USA, Brazil and China. In the Roadmap 2030, that has been published in 2021, FACC set the strategic course for the future, focusing on the further expansion of its global footprint in order to strengthen FACC's presence in its most important markets and with its most important customers. Another milestone was reached in 2022 with the commissioning of the new plant in Croatia for the production of high-tech components for cabin interiors. The expansion of the plant that began last year - involving a tripling of the production area - is now nearing completion. The strategically important sites in Wichita (USA) and Montreal (Canada) have also recorded strong growth in recent years, enabling FACC to strategically open up new markets both in its core business and in the growth segment of Advanced Air Mobility. Together with its international partners, FACC is developing innovative solutions for the mobility of the future at the locations of its international customers and is thus able to further expand its leading position in this dynamic market.

35 years of FACC: Development into a global player in the aviation industry

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Export Award Gala, the award winners of previous years were also put centre stage at the gala. For FACC, which has already won the Export Award of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in 2018 and 2019, this was an opportunity to take a look at the company's successful history. "Since our foundation in 1989 and the first major order worth around 100 million dollars for McDonnell Douglas, we have been an internationally oriented company," emphasises CEO Robert Machtlinger. The small team of visionaries in the Fischer Ski & Tennis research department has developed into a global company that is one of the top 75 aviation companies in the world. Today, all major aircraft manufacturers such as Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, Bombardier, COMAC, Collins, Rolls Royce and Pratt & Whitney rely on the expertise of the Austrian aviation specialist.
