FACC wins Pegasus in Gold in the “Lighthouses” category

FACC AG was awarded the Pegasus in Gold in the “Lighthouses” category at this year’s Pegasus Business Awards. This prestigious business award honors companies that provide a special impetus to Upper Austria as a business location through their innovative strength, economic power, and sustainable development.

The award, presented on June 11 at the Brucknerhaus in Linz, underscores FACC’s extraordinary development from an Upper Austrian startup with around 30 employees nearly 40 years ago to a globally leading aviation technology group with approximately 4,000 employees worldwide.

Key factors in this success story were, in particular, the company’s consistent innovation strategy, its successful growth trajectory following the COVID-19 crisis, and its clear commitment to Upper Austria as a business location. Between 2021 and 2025, FACC doubled its revenue and is now one of the region’s most significant high-tech employers. Another milestone is the recently approved investment of 120 million euros in the Austrian site in St. Martin im Innkreis. With this, FACC is not only strengthening its international competitiveness but also creating long-term prospects for employment, research, and industrial value creation in Upper Austria.

“The Pegasus in Gold is a great recognition of the achievements of our employees worldwide. At the same time, this award confirms the consistent path we have taken: innovation, sustainable growth, and a clear commitment to positioning the company as a global player in the international aviation industry,” explains CEO Robert Machtlinger.

Global Partner of the Aviation Industry

FACC develops and manufactures innovative lightweight components and systems for the international aviation industry and collaborates with leading aircraft manufacturers and engine producers worldwide. Sustainability, technological excellence, and international cooperation form the foundation of the company’s success. By winning the Pegasus in Gold, FACC joins the ranks of those Upper Austrian companies that are making a lasting impact on the region’s business landscape through innovative strength and international influence.
